Strauss continues in the Vienna Acoustic tradition of fine cabinetry by blending of only the finest raw materials and hand-selected wood veneers. Its angles shape proves the form does indeed follow function. The angle of the enclosure is purposeful in its attention to detail regarding the proper time-alignment of all drivers, resonance control and the unimpeded path of the propagated sound wave. Properly finishing this striking enclosure was only possible using Vienna Acoustics’ proprietary veneer wrapping techniques and highly specialized, customized tools and machinery. The result is a true furniture-grade loudspeaker you’ll not want to hide away. Three finishes are available; a black ash veneer enclosure with an eleven-layer high-gloss black lacquer front and rear baffle or a contemporary warm-hued European beech. A highly grained and hand-selected Santos Palisander rosewood is also available at a slight additional cost.

Strauss employs advanced speaker driver technology in a most special way. Designed for use in reference-quality music and film sound systems, Strauss delivers a new level of audio performance and musicality in its price class.

Strauss is capable of astonishing dynamic range, clarity and extended low frequency response that easily provides the most lifelike music and film sound reproduction you’ve ever heard. The ingeniously designed silk-dome tweeter employs three Neodymium magnets; each center drilled to create a damping chamber that eliminates dynamic compression, so open, effortless and linear high frequency response is assured.

The unique 7" dual midrange drivers are configured so that the upper unit handles the complete mid-band, while the lower driver blends in as the frequency decreases. This configuration produces a seamless transition between mid-bass octaves and effortless low frequency dynamics.

The 10"woofer subsequently functions a reproducer of only ultra-low frequencies. Crossover component parts and circuit board layout is among the most sophisticated in the industry, ensuring a highly detailed musical presentation today and for years to come.

System sensitivity is an extraordinary 91dB allowing exceptionally performance even with amplifiers of modest power output. In fact, the recommended amplifier input power range is a versatile 50-400 watts, making it most compatible in elaborate home theater systems in medium to large rooms.
