As the name implies the new irDock allows full Infra Red remote control of all iPods and iPhone (including the latest generations) as well as allowing video pass through of any movie or TV show stored thanks to the incorporation of an authentication chip from Apple®.

The irDock uses audiophile grade components and design techniques to deliver the best possible sound quality and is built from a high quality cast aluminum enclosure for optimum RF shielding. The irDock comes with a special charging on/off button, which enables you to play the iPod from its internal battery supply. Using this intelligent feature will double the life of the rechargeable iPod battery and brings a modest but useful improvement in sound quality.
